Hi, folks! The Endtown Auction Block is up and running once again. This week’s offering is a color portrait of the Duke and Duchess, aka alternate reality Marx and Flask. Now more than ever, all proceeds from these auctions help to keep Endtown alive. Thanks to all who participate!

Whaddaya mean “you’ve” become Terrytoon caricatures. Guess that glass Linda’s been sucking on doesn’t give off a reflection.

This doesn’t look like it’s going to end well.

Sometimes, unfortunately, people need to release all their pent up emotions so they can go on; free of them. For Linda, I think that means a pointless fight…

If Linda jumps up fighting I would be very concerned of the family jewels if she starts swinging. The one thing “they” better watch out is she does have Topsider military training experience. Her size may be an issue but her skills may be unmatched.

Our little Koala better take another very long look in the mirror… Before she mouths off again. She obviously has forgotten what she look like, what she is and where she is. Gosh, I hate nasty stupid drunks.

Who is stupider? The ones mouthing off with the bravery of being underground safe and secure or the one reminding them of the truth?Linda is right. Topsiders are free to roam about totally in control gathering what they need. Mutants have to sneak about avoiding contact at all costs. Common trait among those who are safe in the rear is to speak badly of your opponent but have little or no knowledge of their strengths. The Art of War emphasises that mistake. Never under estimate your enemy. Assumptions of your enemy strengths and weaknesses based on conjectures can only lead to failure. Linda knows the true strength of the Topsiders even to their future plans. The parrot is speaking Jack Rabbits rhetoric about raising a mutant army to attack the Topsiders. Good idea IF you have better weapons than the Topsiders which I don’t believe Endtown or other settlements have. From the info I think those other settlements took horrible casualities attacking that fake rocketTechnology can beat sticks and stones any day of the week. Add that satellite to the mix. Mutants are in a lot of deep doo doo.Linda’s point is not popular but truthful. But sometimes the truth can get you punched in the nose.

Well said TSOJ.One thing I have learned in all my years is to respect someone shorter that me in a fight. Ever tried to fight off an enraged spider monkey???Me neither but the idea is not enticing.Remember when Holly knocked the crap out of Flask? Flask was bigger and far more dangerous. Holly just bitched slapped the crap out of her. Just because one is small does not diminish the ability to fight.

DADOF3The difference is Flask was a high ranking Topsider scientist. She was in the elite of Topsiders. She brought alot to the table when she was finally brought to Endtown. Her emotional baggage and her knowledge of Topsider equipment and agenda. She did keep the rocket secret from Prof Mallard. That is what had him all upset. Her angst about true love kept her from doing her security job and helping Endtown. What does Linda bring?Nothing like Flask. She was a low level receptionist. She brings no scientific skills, high level military skills, insider information. What does she even do in Endtown?Linda’s danger is if she ever gets topside. Would she be willing to give up location of Endtown for a chance at her son. (Remember they use a watch type device to give location)(It maybe protected by dustcrawlers but would their location give away Endtown location?)(All the dustcrawlers do is observe allowing Security to react and redirect the location device. Al and Gustine)Linda misses home, her child especially, she has become what she was trained to hate and kill, she lost her “humanity”, she may be fast approaching Schism. She may look for a way to get topside without using the “normal” methods. Remember the owl carrying the pick axe? Are there operations such as mining, digging tunnels, maybe even going topside coming up in some abandoned city? That was the purpose of Security to maintain Endtown’s safety.Has it over the years of Flask’s diverting resources missed some other ways of getting topside avoiding the usual method of elevators?Idle hands make the devils work. It is apparent there are factions in Endtown that may not want to follow along with the Endtown rules. These groups would explore other options bypassing the Security. This here is only a bar fight starting but it says so much about how Topsiders feel about the situation. There is no doubting what Linda says.Topsiders are in absolute control. Only the unknown location of Endtown has prevented its destruction.

She came in under the door. She will go out over the door.(or on a stretcher)It will be game fight but size and numbers do matter when hand to hand. Now if she breaks the bottle??Using some cowboy slang:Birdman back to Linda:Big talk there partn’r.Youse a fixin to back up dem der fightin words?Youse some kinda Topsider lover?Linda remembers. This didn’t go well for Mel either spouting off about the Jews.ALCOHOL wins again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!When I worked the road the Bar checks were the fun part of the day. You could see the levels change from just beginning to drink to now getting ready to fight everyone in the bar. Just after a couple of visits.I wont forget one guy. He would come in angry and had to to drink to get nice. Odd fellow. When he was drunk nicest guy in the whole world. Give money to orphans, clothes off his back. Sober hated everyone. Even his dogs hid from him till he began drinking.

Good point.Insurgents run out of what they need to fight eventually. They lose the will to fight when continually having your ass handed to you. What usually makes the technology stop is pressure from the outside. No one likes an unfair fight. No one likes to see someone continually beaten by a strong force. You will see this if Israel and Gaza go to fighting. The insurgents will do alot of damage but in the end can not survive the continual onslaught. Israel will not relent. They will strike and strike and strike. It will take alot of pressure to make them stop kicking ass.Technology will win out if no one stops it.

After 9-11 everyone jumped on the band wagon about kicking insurgents butts. What I have seen is now people viewing a strike on an insurgent saying “Oh that poor guy.”You see the tables are now turned. Now some feel sorry for the insurgents when after 9-11 everyone wanted blood. Now with Bin Laden killed everyone wants to sit back and relax. Maybe twenty, thirty years ago but not now. The terror is still out there. It waits. It gets under our “technology” screen and will strike again. My comment about Techology vs Sticks and Stones is just in the long run Techology will win if one does not stop it too soon. I have an M16. You have a bow and arrow. Who wins? Even if you use stealth, concealment, trickery the M16 will win eventually. You just have to make the decision to hit with all you have and never let up till they give up. But you have to weather outside pressures to stop when you see the damage and destruction the Techology can do. After the cluster bombing of Death Road in Iraq there was an immediate stop to using cluster bombs. Pressures made us the US look bad. It was a slaughter. Military target justified but no one was ready for that amount of damage. Topsiders accept this damage without question. They relish it as it accomplishes their mission of survivial and repopulation. So in the long run Topsiders can win the war. It will take a break in either Topsider ideology or Mutants being able to use the same weaponry. Then it will fall to numbers. Who ever has the most left over wins. Mutants probably out number Topsiders but lack weaponry to defeat them in a fight. Missiles, vehicles, overhead cameras, big Zero guns (Al and Gustine one used what looked like an RPG based gun. Shoulder fired and big) Mutants have what? Wind up ray guns. Unstable charged ray guns. The rats have machine guns but someone said guns were useless on a post some time back. I think the biggest card on the table is the Topsider Zero missiles. Long range targeting. Various modes of usage. Massive destruction capability. You can have the best modern weapons money can by but a missile can change it all. Imagine standing in the open with the finest combat gear money can by. Looking down seeing a shadow get bigger and bigger. Look up and there it is. A cruise missile heading straight at you. Wave bye bye for the camera. Now combine that with that satellite they have up but we’ve heard nothing about. Now they have something very dangerous. Remote targeting. The satellite sees it. Marks it. The missile is guided by the satellite straight to it. You would never hear it coming. All topside settlements are under the gun if not already destroyed forcing all to seek underground safety therefore creating pressures on the underground colonies to accept and provide for all the refugees. That may be why the owl was shown. Endtown expanding building into new areas underground to accept the masses.Topsider plans along. Push all mutants into a few areas. Then strike when you can locate them. No one is leaving the planet so they got to be somewhere. Topsiders will just keep looking.

Footprints are not a problem, or Endtown would have been history long ago. According to the story, the only thing the sensors could detect behind the dittos was mass. Against the mass of Earth, the volume of the Endtowners, even Gustine, wouldn’t be noticed. Like I said, I’m still for the “little” guys.
