I’ve learned from others’ mistakes. Now I type out a mean email in a word doc so that I can still change my mind without accidentally sending it to anyone.
Computers can be dangerous, especially when they are able to just run with whims. I do not think I will ever use Twitter as I see what fools celebs become with their “wars” on there.
Didn’t this happen in a Dilbert strip?Tina, if I’m not mistaken, was sending “love messages” to her boyfriend when Dilbert said,“Tina, there are two things you need to keep in mind: The Send All button, and Thank you very much!”
A few years ago the head of our IT dept sent an e-mail to the entire company about how stupid the people in accounting were. He even mentioned some by name. The thing that irritated me was that he sent an apology e-mail to everyone, but stated that the reason for apologizing was because the top guy told him he had to. Not really an apology if you have to be told to do it.

And this is why you write these emails on paper at home next to a waiting shredder.

Can’t “unsend” emails, bummer for Jay. Nice knowing you, see you in “Hi and Lois” or something . . . .

Jay may need witless protection, Rita is witless.

That’s why you learn quickly to never, never, NEVER, put the address before you finish typing the email. Never. Ever. (shudder)

Always lock your computer if you leave your desk. There’s always one practical joker who will come along and send an email from your computer.
