Lucy, it wouldn’t be a “used year”, it would be a “recycled year”!

Think of it as a pre-enjoyed year.

The drawing is especially good today in the various depictions of Linus. I love his expressions as he thinks about what Lucy is saying.

To do Y2K testing on a cell phone billing program we had to find a “clone” year – one in which the julian day matched the month day and day of the week as the base line year.

I think we used 2010 as the clone year 1999. Everyone’s bill ran correctly except that they were all 11 years overdue payment.

I agree that the Vatican used to be in charge of the calendar year. If it weren’t for leap years, there would only be 7 different types of years!

I’ll say it again… Lucy grew up to have a lucrative almost life-long run in the US Senate, throwing her weight around and being glorified in the media. I think she’s still there now.

1967 and 1961 were the same, and, as a kid, an incredibly easy “fix” to draw on the calendar.

Why I had access to a 1961 calendar in late ’66 is a mystery to this day. I suspect my father had a hand in it.

I bet she means the calendars were the same (There are only 14 possible different calendars which get reused).
