I always loved it when my Dad made my lunch. My motherâs lunches were so boring. I feel bad because we never appreciated them even though she made them everyday, while my Dad got heaps of love when he occasionally made our lunches
Sounds like Lynnâs dad made sandwiches that werenât the best, but most dads make great lunches because they just grab a bunch of snack bags and throw them in.
Cartoon husbands knew how to make sandwiches(look at Dagwood), it is just that they wonât go to the trouble for their kids. Most kids are picky, and wouldnât want half of the things in a Dagwood Sandwich.
To pack it correctly, getting the âfixingsâ for your sandwiches requires an separate sandwich bag. Most parents were too cheap to do that. Nowadays, they can include the leftover condiment packages from takeout food. These kids donât know how good they have it.
Iâm sorry, but I do NOT recommend going to the voting website. Most of the comics are so lame as to be ridiculous and when attempting to vote through facebook, their site basically wants to take over your privacy settings and allow anything THEY want.
My mom would freeze water in baby food jars & put one in my lunch to keep it cool. This was in the 1960s. She would pack bacon, lettuce & tomato in separate wax paper bags then include toast for me to assemble at lunch. Ah, the days of stay-at-home moms. She had the time and imagination to make a brown bag lunch interesting. And like Linus van Pelt, I got âcommercialsâ in the bag. Talk about feeling loved & special.
Poor Michael!! Actually, my husband makes really good lunches, and my Dad made my breakfast every day when I was a kid. However, Michaelâs dad isnât exactly they type of guy that you would expect to take any great care in making sure it was something Michael might like to eat.

Wonder if itâs the stuff dentists (like Michaelâs dad) prescribe that you should abstain from.
