These sideways panels give me a headache! I wish you wouldn’t do them any more Guy. I wonder if anybody else feels the same way?I know you want to depict more of their bodies, but it just doesn’t work! Keep it right-side up is my opinion.I do like Phil’s growth spurt. First he was smaller than Fritzi, then the same size, now he’s a few inches taller. Nevertheless it works for me because Phil needed to be a more appropriate suitor for someone as classy as Fritzi!
I guess it’s lucky that they skipped the middle of the song, where I (the one who’s singing) introduce my darlin’ to an old friend I happen to see, who then steals my true love from me.
Your art the way you want Guy…….sorry folks. But sometimes you have to let people have their own way with what they do. Turn your monitor or laptop sideways.
And now for the rest of the story:In the mid 40s a Christmas LP was being assembled. On one side, there was room left over, but not for a full length tune. So, someone remembered a short tune they had handy and put it in for a filler. The filler? Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! And, of course, the filler became the #1 hit. Then, Patti tried to cash in on the craze with -Boogie Woogy Santa Claus. You may have a copy if you have 78s or 45s from that era -It’s on the other side of Tennessee Waltz!
For those who are concerned about the “sideways panels” – if you click on the button titled “More” – you will notice that one of the options which you have is one called “Print Comic.” All you have to do is click on the “print” button with your printer turned on and print the comic out. THEN you can turn the “sideways” pictures right side up and enjoy the pictures in their full glory!

Phil must be taking human growth hormone….it’s taller and older looking every week. Fritzi…..she’s always perfect!!

In my opinion, it’s a tribute nicely done with just the right touch. Kudos Guy – and thanks.
What a unique time it was when a song like “How Much is That Puppy in the Window” could be a hit.

A horizontal Waltz? It’s said that dancing is the vertical expression of a horizontal desire.

Was a few weeks ago. But nice that this comic has a sense of history. Patti (Clara Ann Fowler) Page.

Just noticed they turned the stereotype on its head. Blonde fellow, dark haired girl.

Does anybody beside me know how the Tennessee Waltz turns out? Either Phil or Fritzi is heading for heartbreak!

Beautiful. I was really disappointed there was never one for Andy Williams.

I’ve been a Nancy fan since I learned to read in 1940 …. and if this story arc doesn’t end soon I’ll become an ex-fan.
Please bring back Nancy and Sluggo!
