Shoe actually found a brick and mortar bookstore. No wonder they sell booze, anyone who finds it is stunned into disbelief…

Shoe is “tired of hanging out in bars”?!? When did he become a tired “Lumberjack”? I wonder if he got tired of “putting on women’s clothing” and “pressing wild flowers”?

There are certainly a lot of authors there that share the same interest.

They did in the US, too. But Nabuquduriuzhur has never let the facts get in the way of one of his comments.

I would love to find a ‘Waldenbooks’. I haven’t seen one in five years just ‘B & N’ and I can’t find anything in there it is like a jungle and the people(Staff) are snobs—like I don’t know what is good to read.

Walden Books has been gone for years. Unfortunately that leaves B&N here, although we have a great local bookstore downtown when I can get there.

In my old hometown of Savannah, GA., if the law catch any public library selling alcohol, they’ll lock ‘em up and throw away the key! And don’t get me me started on what happens if they catch ’em selling dope!

I always wanted to own a bar with a laundromat attached and call it Suds & Duds.

This strip has give me an idea. I am all in favor of combining businesses ( I once had a part-ownership in a hair salon and uni-sex clothing store in Amsterdam where we also provided “free” alcoholic beverages for the clientele ).How about a bookstore that features cool music and alcohol, as part of the ambiance ? We could call it Bach’s Books & Blues Bar !

Used to be a bar/laundromat in Columbus called Dirty Dungarees. The name could stand on it’s own for a bar as we also have/had Nowhere, The Office, Somewhere Else and Paradiso!
