And that’s why I keep it simple. I do like those shirts that wick away sweat because they keep me cool in the Southern heat, but other than that, I’m an amateur and regular clothes are fine for what I do.Good morning, Cathy clan! Trick-or-treating was fun last night, although we’re all tired this morning. Next year, should be better with Halloween on Friday night. It started out a bit rough when Lil got mad at me for not letting her trick-or-treat alone with a 4th grader. Not that I’m even considering it, but when would you let a kid go trick-or-treating with their friends and without an adult? I’m thinking middle school and it needs to be a group of responsible friends.Thank you, ncalifgirl, argy.bargy, Molly, Marmar, GretchensMom, lindz.coop, rgcviper and everyone for their prayers, support, cheers and good wishes! You are wonderful! :-)

Sorry you live in a scary place, lightenup. I’d have no problem letting my kids cruise around my neighbourhood, but they’re lazy and prefer to just go to the mall and hit all the stores there. :)

You are wonderful too lightenup. Maybe next year Lil can invite some friends and you can tag along. Our kids aren’t allowed out alone even in the daytime here. I have some great memories of Halloween before it was too dangerous to let the kids out alone, Nowadays I am glad when it’s over!

“I must be REALLY old!I can remember kids going trick-or-treating without the helicopter parents hovering nearby.Of course, this was in the ’50’s/early ’60’s, when criminals and pedophiles stayed in their holes.”

Me too — to all of the above.

Re the comic — You should see what we lifetime ballerinas wear to class — it’s hilarious!! You can usually tell the beginners by their adherence to pink tights, black leotards, pink slippers. None of that for the lifers — and whatever we’re wearing, there are usually sweats of some sort over top because we have learned that to avoid injury, stay warm. That’s why I’ve been able to dance for over 40 years.
