Cathy: It will be a week before I see Irving again, so now I'm thinking about him... I'm thinking that in case things go well, I should use this week to get in shape... I was perfectly happy before...but now I feel obligated to do sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts, runs, lunges and weights! Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but makes the rest of the body completely annoyed.

Well, if you’d exercise four or five days a week instead of cramming it all in whenever the mood strikes you, you wouldn’t feel sore for days at a time afterwards, Cathy. Besides, soreness is just weakness leaving the body! eyeroll

Good morning Cathy clan!
I’m not sure how many people encountered this situation:
Restaurant is either not busy or waitresses take their sweet time to take your order and get your food out. They don’t go out of their way to refill water or get you utensils. When they throw the bill at you before you even finish eating, you reluctantly pay it but leave a less than good tip 12% – 15%. Next thing you know when you try to leave, the waitress stops you at the door and demands more tip for the “great” service they provided and refuses to let you leave.
This happened when I came with my two cousins and a friend so a party of four which is below any so called mandated gratuity standard of 5/6 people or more. I reluctantly just shoved another dollar at her and left. Since then this has left a bad taste in my mouth despite the good soup dumplings they make.
Is this practice even legal when less than a group (under 5 people) is forced to give above average gratuity when it’s really undeserved? Anyone care to share their experience with this and what was the end result? A number of reviewers also experienced the same where they were forced to give in. I don’t see any where in writing that a tip is mandated, but I wonder how often they have gotten away with this.
I’m sure not all of the waitresses are like this and sure they might be paid like crap but that doesn’t give them the right to make a scene and take it out on customers.

I admit legaleagle, I have a hard time sticking to an exercise routine. Extra eyeroll for me (wish I knew how to make it bold).

Cathy probably just over-did it so much that she’ll still be sore for her date a week from now!

Well, she could be doing WORSE things with her time—even if this effort is a little late.
HI, MOM. Greetings, “Cathy” Clan.
