Don’t they realize how easy life is with all those electronic improvements?

Yesterday, Mom seemed to have the digital thing down pretty well.

When you are older and haven’t faced that sort of “future-isms” when out and about before, it can be confusing. And DON"T loose those reading glasses! or your sense of humor.

I don’t even need to go on a vacation to feel this kind of frustration – I develop software for a living but still get frustrated with the non-intuitive user interface on iPads and smart phones (I have a dumb cell phone but my wife just bought a smartphone and keeps asking me how to do things on it – won’t believe I really don’t know how. That and having to find my eyes to read the small screens!

I like the one about the rental car…I rented one last year for a 16-day stay at a cousin’s house and NEVER DID figure out the computer panel for the radio! Tapped every symbol I could…and made the mistake of wiping the screen because of the dust on it. Of course, it would have Helped if the rental car company had included the driver’s manual… Hope everyone had a restful Sunday! ;)
