Hello Cathy friends! Thank you lightenup! Enjoy your trip! I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself with birthdays and graduations coming up very soon. I’m sure everything will work out one way or the other.GretchensMom, sending good thoughts your way.

While I think every first-time bride should wear a white wedding dress on her special day if she wants, I also think that a woman of Cathy’s age (and weight) should stay away from big, poufy wedding dresses — those are for women much younger (and thinner) than she is and it would only make her look silly (not to mention heavier than she already is). I think the simple, sophis-ticated sheath in panel #2 (but in white or ivory) would be much more suitable for an older woman like Cathy. But you can’t tell a Looney Tune like her something like that. She’s a first-time bride and she’s absolutely, positively going to have the wedding she’s always dreamed of since she was probably 5 years old . . . right down to the ridiculous-looking, big, poufy dress!

QuietStorm27: Congratulations on acing all your classes this semester! Regarding the wedding: I’m sad to hear that it’s been indefinitely (maybe permanently?) postponed. But I’m sure that whatever you decide to do, everything will work out as it should for everyone involved.

lightenup, QuietStorm27, rgcviper (& others): Thanks so much for your kind care and concern over the last couple of days. I’m here and everything’s okay! Tuesday we had a power outage thanks to a squirrel getting too friendly with a transformer. Then yesterday (Wednesday), I spent another long day out in the yard pulling weeds again while temps were in the low 70’s (a never-ending job around here unfortunately from Spring to Winter every year). By the time I dragged myself in when I got done, I was too tired to even think about getting online so I just rested my back and body and watched t.v. instead. When I finally got online today for the first time since Monday evening, I had 3 days worth of everything to get caught up on: e-mail, the local newspaper, etc., etc. But the comics were the absolute worst! I read 82 of them every day — which means that I had 246 to go through. Given that fact, naturally the internet decided to run slow today for whatever reason, which meant that it took positively forever to get through them all! But I’m just about caught up on everything now and tomorrow everything should be completely back to normal again regarding my daily online routine. Thanks so much again for your kind thoughts. I really appreciate them. I just love all my friends here at “Cathy’s Corner”! ♥

Wear what you want, Cathy — it’s your day and someone will criticize you no matter what you choose so make it work for you.
