This one rings a bit true for me. My mom and I have much different taste and ideas in many things so I was nervous about how long we would be able to shop together without discord, but I knew wedding dress shopping is something you should do with your mom (at least for some of it). Amazingly, we found a dress that we both loved and I am happy we shopped for it together..Hello Cathy friends!

And the sales girls will be in the back complaining about all the work of getting the dresses on her, off her, and put back away. True if you’ve ever watched the reality bridal dress shopping shows on TV. Dragging those heavy gowns around all day is work!

I’ve been married twice. I love my mother dearly, but she was NOT involved in the choosing of my dress either time. That’s my business and mine alone.

I have a confession to make, I’ve been quiet the last few days because Cathy is hard to take right now. I think I mentioned before that my mom died when I was very young so I will never get to experience these types of special life moments. I do have my aunt, who raised me and my sister, but it’s not the same.

If I don’t comment, Cathy friends, please know that I am still around. I apologize for being a downer.
