This obsession with the physical self along with the uncontrolled indulgence of every appetite is the surest sign of a culture in decline. Oh, and disgusting, too. Granted that I came from the ’60s when we were busy throwing out the cultural bathwater with the baby in it, this change is NOT for the better.

I’d do all that stuff secretly to look better than the other bridesmaids. I am very competitive. And sulk when I don’t win….but that’s another kettle of fish.

Part of me says “More power to ’em”, but more just wants to give another [eye-roll].

I suppose it could be considered karma…considering some of the horrific dresses bridesmaids were asked to wear last century ;)
