The trouble is….that suit probably cost Cathy a couple hundred, knowing her expensive tastes in clothes.

All the angst Cathy went through regarding shopping for, then buying, the perfect honeymoon bathing suit . . . only to have Irving stomp on it until he completely destroyed it. Just goes to show — yet again — what a ridiculous waste of time and money that was. If this is what she was going to do (or rather, have Irving do) to it, then she should have just brought along one of the many old swimsuits she’s bought over the years that have probably never been worn more than once or twice the entire time she’s owned them. At least it would have been “old” money thrown away this time around as opposed to “new” money!
