This never happens (at least not to me) with people that I don’t know. Strangers might say “Congratulations!”, but I doubt they would go this nutty over someone who they barely know. Oh dear . . . The wedding takes up a few hours on one day. There’s usually quite a lot of life after that event.
The groom / husband is going to be a lot more important for the rest of your life, in most cases!
