I really don’t like how stereotypical Irving’s mother is. And Cathy’s mom is portrayed at the other end of the spectrum…. Irving’s mom, so far, as no likable qualities.

I know so many people who refuse to help because of multiple excuses. Then they turn around and tell everyone they did most of the work. Told only those who couldn’t check up on the truth of it, of course.

The fact is, there is more truth to the mother-in-law from h3ll than is depicted here… and that is a fact.

So, just to reiterate here ….. you can’t shelf-paper the kitchen cabinets because of lower back spasms, arthritis prevents you from unpacking dishes (even from a sitting position), and aller-gies won’t let you dust off even a single bookshelf. In other words, all you’re able to really do without any problem at all is whine, complain and get underneath Cathy and Irving’s feet while they’re trying to set up their new house around you at the same time. So, tell me ….. exactly HOW are you there to “help” them again???

Meanwhile, I hope Irving heard at least some of that exchange before his mother turned around and told him nothing but a big, ugly, bold-faced lie or it could cause nothing but problems be-tween him and Cathy if he’s a “Mama’s Boy” who chooses to believe her over his own wife.

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

lightenup: Hey, Sis! I know you won’t see this until next Saturday or Sunday (at least) but I still wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear that you inherited your own “Mother-In-Law From Hell” when you married your husband. I was very lucky to have the sweetest M-I-L in the entire world who never once interfered in our lives (of course, it also helped that she lived 500 miles away too!). She’s been gone for 13 years now and I still miss her dearly every single day. :-(

Hello and Happy Saturday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone’s been having a really great weekend so far! :-)

And, the trusty [eye-roll] should cover things once again.

Seriously—I gotta start stocking up on those in bulk.

    HI, MOM. Greetings, “Cathy” Clan.

Seriously, Do I need to have my house swept for listening devices? I have had almost this exact same conversation with my Mother.
