We’ve only got two t.v.‘s in our house: one in the living room and one in our bedroom. They’re both probably close to 10 years old but they work just fine so why spend the unnecessary money to get new ones? Buying “new” technology as soon as it comes out — no matter how much it costs — is why people stay broke and perpetually in debt all the time. But it’s not my circus; not my monkeys. People are free to do whatever they want ….. just so long as they don’t expect me to subsidize them in any way (with my own money) what I consider to be dumb and irresponsible behavior on their part.

Hi, rgcviper!
Hi, lightenup! I left you a return message, Sis! :-)
.
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today! :-)
He’s mesmerized by the catalog and talking crazy, I think. I agree that new TVs all the time are unnecessary. No need to waste money on something that just sucks up time, although is entertaining.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Sis, I responded to you already… :-)
We have one TV (in the living room) and it’s 6 years old. We’ll use it until it breaks. At my parents house they have a tv in every room but the bathrooms, kitchen, and dining room. 5 TVs. But at least they wait until it’s broken before replacing it. My sister on the other hand doesn’t have a tv. She just uses her laptop to watch stuff.

I’m with you Mom…2 TVs and one of them doesn’t even work. Only started watching about 2 years ago and still only watch one show/night.

Personally, I tend to follow the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” perspective.
