Ah, the old “women are obsessed with shoes” stereotype again… I have only what I need. I have a couple of dress shoes, two pairs of everyday shoes (one for cool weather and one for warm weather), and a pair of sneakers. Nothing fancy and no duplicates. When we cleaned out my mom’s house, we found she had a lot of duplicate shoes. I’m guessing that she liked the fit so much she bought extra so that she would have them handy, but who knows.
I finally finished cleaning out my MBR closet yesterday. Sad though it was, I got rid of as many clothes as I honestly felt like I could and I reduced my shoe collection down by 9 or 10 pairs. While I’ve probably got a few too many “all occasion” shoes I’m still keeping (but no duplicates though!), the hole left behind on the shelf where all those boxes used to sit is a pretty big one now ….. which means that much less I have to try and somehow fit into a considerably smaller closet when we move than what I’ve been accustomed to for the last 27 years in our current home.

Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really great day today! :-)
Current progress report: Clean-up is going slowly but it’s going. With the exception of my office, we’ve got every room on the main floor done now — which means it won’t be too long before we move on to what I consider the really scary part of the house: the basement (and wow, there’s a lot down there to go through and clean out!). :-P
That’s all for now. Have a great rest of the week and I’ll check back in again when I can.

I’m a woman and, even though I can definitely tell the difference, can only see the sense of owning 2 pairs: one sandal, one shoe.

Touche. To each his/her own, I suppose.
HI, MOM, and nice to hear from you. Good to know you’re making progress with your move. Best of luck in the days to come.
Hello, Clan.
