How did the whole Valentine’s Day gift giving thing even start? Is it Hallmark’s fault? It needs to stop. Because it makes people who don’t get something feel bad.

My husband and I have been married for 29 years and I’m still wearing the same little solitaire that he proposed with even though after all these years we could more than afford to upgrade it now if I wanted to. Only thing is, I wouldn’t dream of either trading it in or altering it in any way in order to have something that’s “bigger and better.” For me, the “expense” of that little diamond ring doesn’t come in the form of its monetary value ….. it’s the sentimental value behind it that holds the most meaning to me and because of that, I wouldn’t trade it for anything or any amount of money in the world! ♥

Hi, rgcviper! I’m missing all our dear friends that we no longer hear from too. Wherever they are, I hope they’re safe, happy, healthy and doing well; they’re just too busy living their lives to hang out here with us. Anything different would simply be too sad for me to think about. :-(

Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today! :-)
Hahaha! That was a valid conclusion that Irving drew from those hints. Cathy needs to either come right out and ask for something, or she’ll get what he thinks he should get.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! I agree, Sis! My wedding ring is very basic and I probably wouldn’t pick it out myself now, but he chose it years ago and it came from his heart and it means a lot to us, so I wouldn’t give it up for anything. :-) Have a great night, all!

Don’t be so obtuse, Cathy. Irving will never understand.

Sometimes ya just gotta spell it out, Cathy. Of course, then we wouldn’t have our daily [eye-roll].
Sheesh—even I’m amazed by how much we roll our eyes here.
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

I don’t think Valentine’s Day merits a new diamond ring …especially when you’ve only been married 2 years.
