Man: Under "expenses" I see "cell phone cameras." "Keychain cameras," "pocket cameras," "underwater cameras," "watch cameras," "pen cameras," "wallet cameras." Under "investments" I see zilch. And so, I must ask the tough question that financial advisers across the land are asking... have you accumulated anything in the last year except more unprinted digital images of yourselves?? Irving: Of course! Ha, ha! You should see what we have in the bank! Cathy: He keeps $1,500 of backup drives full of photo files stored there in a safe deposit box. Your pre-tax day year in review.

I work for a financial advisor, but we don’t do taxes (we DO help our clients get their tax paperwork in order…but that’s it; I got a thank you note from a client last week for helping her get hers). I remember, during my job interview, my boss mentioned that he doesn’t do people’s taxes. Before I could stop myself, I said, “Thank God!” I had previously worked for a financial advisor who did do taxes, and it was a nightmare.

They said doing your taxes would become easier this year…I found that the opposite is true.

Take a picture of your paycheck, or money, before you spend it. With all the money schemes and economic panic and all that perhaps you are best of getting the stuff you need now. A can of tuna is worth more than that Enron stock you had back in the day.

Yup—the digital photo archive can be overwhelming if you don’t keep it cleaned out. Not that I’d know anything about that, of course …
