What a great word problem.

I passed math too. It typically takes us less than an hour to e-file our taxes. Why do I need an accountant again?

I took my taxes to a “professional” once because I had to file taxes in 3 different states plus a local county, had 2 household moves that year, sold a house, and had many business deductions related to my work as a consultant. I knew it was a mistake when I had to explain what per diem meant. A $700 mistake.

Touche, Mr Tax Accountant. Touche.

Ah the joy of being Canadian – we have another 2 weeks to file our tax returns. I will admit I gave up this year – filled in the forms I had in the tax software then sent the whole thing off to my accountant as it was a very financially complex year and I really don’t understand some of the transactions we did. Figured it will be worth the money to make sure it is right. Being wrong can get rather expensive.
