Cathy Classics by Cathy Guisewite for February 09, 2020
Transcript:
Voice out of frame: I lost my hat! Cathy: Your hat's on top of the refrigerator! Voice out of frame: I lost my keys! My blue sweatshirt! My phone charger! My left brown glove! Your keys are on the left side of the third shelf of the bookcase behind the couch, honey!...Your blue sweatshirt's under the striped towel on the floor of the guest bedroom closet....Your phone charger's behind the microwave manual in the top drawer next to the dishwasher....Your left brown glove's next to the stack of recyclables in the garage. The one tiny cell in my husband that would love this darling book of poetry is buried in the lower right corner of his brain under his collection of football statistics, next to the heap of golf scores and obscure fly-fishing facts he tossed in there last summer! Caption: Love is part giving, part finding. Cathy: I know it's in there somewhere!!

She had me at…..’ your keys are on……’. Who knew she could remember all that without stopping to breathe….?

I hope the book of poetry is filled with odes to electronics.

That book of poetry will be deposited in the bottom shelf somewhere in garage.

I suffer from ‘guy eyes.’ I can be looking right at something and not see it.

I would think that most men would think that the book of poetry for Valentine’s Day, was a gag gift, and they’d ask where their REAL present was!

Irving needs to get organized. How’d he find anything before he was with Cathy. He probably didn’t.

Impressive, Cathy. Or spooky—one or the other. I’ll go with impressive, though.
HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, Clan.

My first suspicion was that she is the one that moved everything from where he left them. But then some of the places are not likely where she would put them.
I kind of have this problem in reverse. I know and remember where I put things. My wife has a habit of moving my stuff and not remembering that she did that never mind where she put things. This is why she is forbidden (and yes that strong) to touch or move anything in my office or my lab. Past events have resulted in some rather ‘interesting’ conversations.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Here it is much warmer, a few degrees below freezing, so of course, since I am heading out on the highway to my hometown for a rehearsal, it is going to snow. Oh well, I am used to driving in snow and slow down since I do like getting to my destination alive and unhurt.

Hard to believe Irving has a place for that, but, well she knows where everything else is, so…
