Thank heavens for drugstore reading glasses. It costs a bundle to get an eye exam, and new glasses.

I bless lasik, I suppose radial keratotomy is okay to. Best investment in myself I ever made. Now glasses, sun glasses specifically, are optional.

Am I the only person here wondering why Irving is wearing a pair of sunglasses over his reading glasses in order to read the newspaper inside this own house? If he’s sitting near a window and it’s too bright to read without them, then he should just move to a “shadier” spot!
