Apparently, his last brain cell stepped on her last nerve and that is the final straw.

He’s using her to give his brain a boost. Fine….next time don’t tell her the particulars.

Nope. Focusing on someone else to benefit yourself is as far from romantic as you can get. Hmmm – I wonder if there is a ‘How to be Romantic’ app that Irving could download and try out. I think he needs that one more than the brain training app.

I did try out a brain training a few years ago. The treatment consisted of a little biofeedback tied with tones and sounds. The leader suggested things like concentrating on my happy place, moments when I was really happy, times when I felt really proud, and other positive situations. The sessions were definitely making a difference. All those dumb things I said and did decades ago and remember all too well were not bothering me as much as they did. Unfortunately the monthly license fees were more than my therapist could afford as there was not much of a demand in a small town like this. I really miss those tones.
