I finally understand cookies

Well crap. Accidentally visit one piddly Victoria’s Secret and it’s no secret ever again.

I can delete my picked up cookies every day, but it’s a losing battle.

The “chocolate, cake and cookies” talk only to you. The information in Internet cookies is traded openly and gets released by hackers upon occasion.

The publicly stated reasoning is that sellers think I would prefer to see advertising custom-tailored to my tastes. I would prefer to see no advertising. However, that’s not going to happen. Failing that, I prefer to see random ads, which are easier to ignore. I don’t have enough discretionary income that I am constantly seeking new ways to spend money.

Cookies can be dangerous! :)

That reminds me, time to purge the browser data.

Mmmm, cookies! I get a kick out of Google’s attempts to target ads to me. Whenever I make a purchase at a store’s online site the next time I start up my browser I get an add for the item I just purchased. Right. Like I want to rush out and purchase another one when I have not even received the one I already ordered. I agree with mistercatworks – show me random ads if you really want me to see ads – not for something I obviously already own.
