The brain does burn calories, just not many. I remember reading years ago that the energy expended by the brain from taking the SAT could be replaced by eating one peanut.
If Cathy wants to quit gaining so much weight, then she needs to keep the potato chips, chocolate, cookies and ice cream, etc., OUT of her house. If she’s really that bored or stressed and has to mindlessly snack on something, then she’s better off to buy healthier alternatives like celery and carrot sticks. They don’t taste as good as the sugary things she enjoys eating, but they’re not full of all their fat and calories either.
And for the love of all that’s holy, she needs to get off her lazy rear-end and leave the house for more than just her job and shopping trips to the mall! My husband and I walk between 2-1/2 and 3 miles around our subdivision every day but if she can’t, or doesn’t have the time to do that much at once, then a couple of one-mile walks at least twice a day would do both her AND Electra a world of good in the health and fitness department.

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
.
Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you all had a really nice day today! ♥
Taking Electra for a walk a couple of times a day would help burn calories – and maybe even reduce the stress that causes her to eat so much.
Ah, Friday again. My wife comes home tonight from a trip down south (that is southern Ontario) with a friend. Guess I had better do a little cleaning up this afternoon. Not that I am messy but I like to leave the house as clean if not cleaner than it was when she left.
Have a great day and I hope you are looking forward to a fun weekend.

That’s a total of 2,660 calories. That’s not so much. She only has to walk about 50 miles to burn that much.

When food is your only solace, it’s a one-way ticket to fat regret.

Maybe I should have taken up a profession that required a lot of physical activity instead of one with a lot of mental activity.
Have a great Thursday!

Yup…walk it off…I walk between 2 & 3 miles most days and do my ballet exercises. That’s how I stay “legal” at Weight Watchers.
