I vowed to keep my life simple. It is amazing how much stuff you can buy to simplify your life. Now I have to buy new stuff because I can’t find the stuff I think I still have. Somewhere.
She should try Zen housecleaning. You just pick up every object in the house, one at a time, dust under it and set it back down in the same place. By the time you finish, it will be time to start over again. Tremendous feeling of non-accomplishment. :)
I can relate to today’s strip as this is my life now. I think I could get more done if I just had a bit of time, but there always seems to be something that is more pressing. I hope that as Lil goes to college next year, I will be more productive.

I see Cathy needs a little clear space to sort things just as I do. As I read the script I thought it would be a great idea to go out on the patio and read for a while. Looked out the window and it is raining again. Guess I will stay in front of the computer instead.
We had heavy winds for the past couple of days. Checked the retaining wall since the waves were hitting rather heavily and sure enough 3 more blocks have tipped over into the water. Picture a Lego block weighing about 1800 pounds. That is when fell over. Glad we are already planning on rebuilding the wall as soon as the water recedes in the fall or spring. My neighbours rescued a couple of board sections from my dock as the retaining clamps were broken off by the force of the waves. Never underestimate the power of Mother Nature!
Gretchen’s Mom – has it really been 5 years since you moved?? Where has the time gone?
Have a great day and a fantastic weekend. I will probably not be here for a week or so. Heading to Vancouver tomorrow to board a Disney cruise to Alaska on Monday. ‘See’ you all when we get back.
