I agree, shyygirl! Besides, can’t he go get a snack if he’s so hungry? And if it really is dinner time, most moms will make sure their family is fed, but for another adult to ask like he’s a child is pathetic. If it’s really so urgent that the kids are starving, he can ask what he can do to help out or just do it himself.
As the man who cooks for the family, you give me five minutes to fix supper and I would hand you a bowl of cereal or the skillet. Any cook who usually. fixes meals and knows what it takes then gives the other person a few minutes deserves to go hungry.
I wonder if she’s thought that strategy all the way through… she should remember that men get out of household chores by faking incompetence. It almost always works because the women are secretly flattered by the implications.
Bless him, my husband knows exactly where the kitchen is – hasn’t moved in almost 40 years – and is perfectly capable of fixing dinner for both of us. He will ask if I have something planned, and then will go fix it – for both of us.

If the man in the mirror knew the answer, he wouldn’t have asked you in the first place.

I love cooking but when my other half has a change of mind when I’ve already done the preparation, I could explode.
