Amazingly cool pic of the black-capped chickadee eating seeds from someone’s hand. These are very shy, skittish birds, who flit about and don’t alight long in any one place. I imagine this one was mighty hungry to land where it did. The mountain chickadee is distinguishable from the black-capped by the two white stripes on its head.
