Brian … like the “mob”, the kitties are now dipping their beaks. Poor sweet Sophie is so polite. The parents, ‘though, should train (if one can train a cat) those kitties.Again Panel 2, with "Cheese’s" head in Sophie’s bowl is priceless.
I’m astounded that there’s any food left in there for the kitties. Our doggy used to eat so fast the food would have disappeared long before the cats had even begun to show interest in it.
The cats aren’t usually inside when Sophie eats. The first few times they were, she gave them a few low growls. Now, when they’re around she just lets them snack. Really, they only snag a couple bits.
My first dog was a male Scottish Terrier who wouldn’t let anything or anyone near his dog dish while food was in it. My other dogs were females, two terriers who would have no problem with sharing and my Lab Cleo who ate her food so quickly that a cat wouldn’t have had a chance to snatch a bite.

A good bark ought to clear those hogs out of the way, but again maybe not.
