A nation of sheep – everyone complains about China taking all of the manufacturing jobs, and then continue to shop there. My wife does, but I won’t step foot in there any more.
Two hours into my first day of work as a WalMart greeter, an ugly woman came in with her two kids.Hearing her swear at them, I said, “Good morning, welcome to… WalMart. Nice kids, are they twins?”The mom answered, “Hell no, they ain’t twins. The oldest one’s 9, and the other one’s 7. Why would you think they’re twins? Are you blind or stupid?”I replied, “I’m not blind or stupid. I just couldn’t believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day, and thank you for shopping at WalMart.”
I am in agreement with you, Night-Gaunt49. I have been in a WalMart only two different times. It has been reported that when a Walmart enters a community, the wage structure they use makes all of its employees elligible for food stamps and other forms of government assistance… because the wages are too damn low and the # hours they give is always just below full time (where some form of “benefits” would be required to be added). It is a real shame that people are not treated better by them, and it is also a real shame that NAFTA and GATT are making most every store march to the WalMart drumbeat and there is not much of anything produced in the US by US workers anymore.
due to many pluggers needing to keep a close eye on a very tight budget. I can see why many go to Walmart instead of more expensive places to buy food. no one really needs to be eating porterhouse when cheaper cuts will do. especially when the price is much cheaper.

Is it like Chick-fil-a and the first 100 get free stuff for a year. Why would people care about a store opening.

Enjoy them while you can. Walmart is fading fast where I live. Inventory is way down, fewer customers in the stores, service is slipping.
