How old is this comic strip? That’s a rotary dial phone – 1950’s maybe? … 1960’s?

The adult child of a friend answered that question with, “Yes,” and then hung up. He thought he was being funny.

That child has no respect for anyone, nor does he care about anyone but himself. His parents must not teach him about these things. I blame the author. Lol

A rotary dial phone? I didn’t realize these strips were that old! Yes, I still have one in my attic. I’ll need an adaptor to hook it up.

Now I know why the phone company made those phones out of such tough plastic. Calvin is playing “Interceptorman” and Mr. Cruderude – a dual role – very difficult to do…

On so many levels, this particular strip is so wrong. Portraying Calvin as a jerk goes over the edge…and then having him blow off his mother makes him super dislikable.

A rotary phone. This strip is dated. Or Calvin’s parents prefer an old fashion phone.
