Our local Walmart had removed all the Halloween items from their displays and was putting up Christmas decorations on Friday, the day BEFORE Halloween.
At least Halloween stuff got some time in the stores. We used to be able to buy decorations for Thanksgiving, and fun little figurines or salt and pepper shakers to put on the table, or give as gifts. Now, Thanksgiving merchandise isn’t even displayed in most stores. Christmas decorations go up at the same time that Halloween costumes are put on the shelves…

It’s usually in a back corner. I know because I go for the 1/2 price chocolate on Nov 1.
