Concerning the Big Chicken, on the blog>: Folks in Marietta are so sumb, they actually pronounce it May-retta. and they think REM is an Atlanta band. Cheap redneck tricks.

Looks like romance could be in the air in today’s comic. Willet happen?Closest match to the silhouette I could think of. There’s another similar shorebird but I didn’t want to Godwit the comments. In case the reference for that pun escapes you.Ok, out of shorebird puns.
I understand the new Pope prefers to live a very frugal lifestyle (lived in Argentina in a simple apt, cooking for himself) but also agree that there is nothing better to indulge in than a good hand-made pair of shoes. I need to get busy and make myself another pair with a more modern appearance (tho’ I wear my first pair anytime I will be on my feet all day- shopping or sightseeing).
It is necessary to draw an outline of each foot while standing and looking ahead (so a friend needs to trace). We had a good teacher, but it still takes all my free time for 2-3 weeks to make a pair (and I still use disposable Dr Scholls pads inside- keeps them always clean). My next 2 pairs have uppers of a lovely red kidskin. I prefer a tie-on style like this because I like to walk quickly.
Soon may have some recipes to add at CD. I forgot to get string beans in groceries yesterday (for bean salad) but I not only got tofu dogs, but also vegetarian pepperoni. I will try that with the cauliflower crust(a recipe from Chef Tess), my tomato/broccalli sauce and vegetarian “mozzarella” (and some real mushrooms). Today I’m just making chili and some almond crackers (also from Chef Tess Bakeress).
I don’t “get” Frog Applause ,but it still fascinates me. “Like a snake is said to fascinate some small birds…”Frog Blog ,on the other hand, I do “get”.
Ever since I first read the blog, I go there before reading the comments and I love to share about anything meaningful to me (as I did today about the Pope’s cobbler). Shoemaking is an art, tho’ I was doing mine in a 10th century style. I like the “turned shoe” because I understand the construction.
I also “Feel the Love” and as to revealing my name, I prefer not to because I sometimes reveal rather salacious information about myself on GoComics (that I would NOT share if using my real name). I have been happily reading FA as well as the blog since some friends from other comics recommended it. I have a whole page of strips here that I read, and a bunch of others (King Sindicate) that I read on some newspaper’s sites. I enjoy being amused and I like the variety of topics covered in the blog (as a n occaisional artist, I enjoy all the art too and have posted some of my homages to my favorite impressionists on Ballard Street a while back. I find that I have to copy things to Flickr to post here since Webshots closed. I had things organized so well there but was too busy when they notified to find an adequate place to transfer – still grieving!
It’s curious when you think about it… tens of thousands of web comics and a mere handful of web tragics. Shouldn’t there be some balance?Oh the mysteries… oh the questions…If stink is to stench as drink is to drench, what is the relationship between wink and wench?
I am a real person, and many of my photos are very recent. This one is from way back in those plantonic days (when we still went to each other’s family events). This was the wedding of a nephew of his.
That trailer stirred up the butterflies in my stomach! I took a beginning sign painting class in high school and loved it. Now I’m wondering whether I missed a calling because I was too insecure and too perfectionistic to make a real stab at it. I still have some of the brushes…
A weird human is about? That must be quite a novelty. I’ve always wanted to see one of those. I hear of them often, but have never met one. I think that pair of ducks belonged to Fermi. That would explain everything.
I think Benny has a crush on Teresa. Hear me out. When I was younger and unsure how to get a girl’s attention, I often said stupid things to her and did even stupider things in front of her. Perhaps Benny is still stuck in that phase of his development.
Hadn’t heard of the gallon smashing thing before… Frog Blog is my front line source for lame social goings-on. I agree w/Teresa, a waste of good milk or other beverage.

We’d expect that kind of not getting it from Chickenman. Er wait, that was Benton Harbor. Are you sure you not him, though?
