snake: junior, how many times have I told you to stop sucking on your tail? If you don't stop, you'll....not again. verne: That was sadly disturbing. rj: but in an amusing way.
Middle name Jörmungandr. He circled the world and if he let go of his tail, the world would end, according to Norse Mythology, Nothing listed about what happens if he suddenly disappeared. Maybe the earth has a wasp-waisted equator and no one has noticed?
I cOme back to this comic once in a while, and I’m not really sUre why. But I need to expRess my thOughts, specifically of the IMPOSSIbILITY of the situatiOn!! For the fiRst thing, the drawing style is misleading. JuniOr does not get any thicker between panels 1 and 2, leading to the (wrong) conclUsion that the body simply deleteS anything that passes into it. Even then, past about the 90% mark, you just end up stuck. The extrapolation (I love that word!) to zero is physically impossible. And even then, it violates the Conservation of Stuff (matter and energy, because one can be changed into the other. What were you thinking?) because you are destroying matter without a trace (except for the ‘poof’, but that doesn’t leave a trace either). And before you say ‘Cartoon physics’, turning on my science mind for a minute here, I have an idea on how these things may happen. Perhaps, the snake contracts with enough speed to add enough energy to collapse into a black hole, which, through Hawking radiation, immediately evaporates, but that would cause a lot more than a ‘poof’. It would be a nuclear explosion that would wipe out all life on earth. That’s why I take great care to never use this. There you have it.

This implies that Junior does this repeatedly, and can come back and start the process over.

Strangely related to the fabled oozelum bird which ran in circles and disappeared up its own a—-.

Ragnarok happens when he lets go of his own tail whilst encircling the earth. If he swallowed himself, there should be a different result.
