You guys just don’t get it, do you! Everyone that works in an office like this thinks their boss is an idiot! Its fun to pick on them, especially if you are a decent artist and can get your comic strip printed in a large venue like gocomics.com! That doesn’t mean that Rita is actually stupid or incompetent, but that John and Scott are sympathizing with all you losers that have bosses like Rita! HAHA, the joke’s on YOU!
The pointy haired boss of Dilbert was so right on (until he finally made the company go bust) that everyone in the office posted sequences. I was often the one who took the heat and blame for his stuff, so I left before they closed (first chance I got at a different engineering Co).
I have worked in many poorly managed business’ but each (depending on size and the product) has it’s own type of problems. I HAVE had coworkers who got away with sleeping or loads of personal calls (in a native tongue) and the really big corporations have chains of command with their own special set of problems.

Yeah, that’d be a funny strip. A well run, efficient office- lots of gag possibilities.

In this strip I find all the characters balance each other. Thats what makes it such a great comic strip.

Mr. Dithers said practically the same thing to Dagwood about giving him a raise and Dagwood didn’t believe him either.

So give him an honest raise. You can do it. He would be so happy. Let the good times roll.

Since we don’t have to pay any of these characters we are keeping them all. :)

@Clark Kent… are you ever in a good mood? Or are you just crabby every day, all day?
