I worked for a company that took a patent dispute through the Supreme Court… twice. The Supreme Court Ordered the creation of a special patent resolution court. We won. The loser refused to obey the court cooperation order. They paid a us, a small company, a lot of money and we were taken over in a stock buyout paid for with our own cash assets. Our product line was sold to our development partners that were using our tools to develop their products.
