Look out, Calvin, duck!Clounds can be entertaining, but they require a lot of overhead.Don’t know what the future holds for this particular cloud, but at least it made a good first impression.(Etc.)
This Peanuts strip was used for the opening scene of the movie A Boy Named Charlie Brown, the first time that Charlie Brown, Linus, and Lucy appeared on the big screen, in 1969. The strip was drawn by Charles Schulz in 1960 when he was 37 years old.Click here: Peanuts (August 14, 1960)Stephan Pastis published this Pearls Before Swine strip in 2011, to honor the memory of Charles Schulz on the 89th anniversary of his birth. Charles Schulz died in 2000 at age 77.Click here: Pearls Before Swine (November 27, 2011)
This Ziggy strip was probably inspired by the Calvin and Hobbes “inscrutable omen” strip that I posted above. Tom Wilson drew this Ziggy strip in 1995, three years after Bill Watterson published today’s Calvin and Hobbes.Click here: Ziggy (March 6, 1995)
Hobbes has returned with a vengeance.“Into every life some rain must fall”, but…“Every cloud has a silver lining.”Is that “inscrutable” enough for you? :o)
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe we are now in the realm of “there’s treasure everywhere.” It almost hurts to think of Calvin and Hobbes winding down again.

That reminds me of an old Peanuts strip where Linus saw philosophical meanings in the clouds while Charlie Brown only saw little duckies and doggies.

I think Calvin’s mom should teach him how to help her in the garden. When I was his age I helped with the gardening.

It would be so cute if the cloud formed a shape of Hobbes sleeping.

Hi Jaddis. Glad you enjoy the extra strips. I choose some of my favorites, so that hopefully others will also enjoy them.
