The don’t call it “Charbucks” for nothing. McD’s is good coffee. The only thing I like on their menu. Well, that and a fish sandwich. Haven’t been to a Timmy’s for years.

Remember coffee use to be 5 cents a cup with free refills.( my parents told me LOL )

Their coffee is over-roasted, burnt and bitter. When I’m traveling, I carry salt with me because a few grains of it kills the bitterness and makes it drinkable. My personal name for the company is “Charbucks.”

Several years ago Consumer Reports did a blind taste test of coffee. There were 12 or 14 coffees as I remember. Starbucks and Seattle’s Best came in last at #14 and #13 respectively and was rated by the taste testers as “burnt” and “bitter”. An expensive coffee came out #1. The #2 coffee? Dunkin’ Donuts was rated “excellent” overall.

I like the taste of Starbucks, burnt of everything. They have a blonde roast that is not bitter nor burnt tasting. I don’t like it.

The cherry pie, milkshakes, and smoothies at McD’s are pretty tasty.

Last time I had food at Starbucks, they burnt the bagel. Haven’t been back since.

McD’s coffee is really nasty. I’m not sure if had plain coffee from Starbucks. I don’t go there often.

About the only thing worth going to McD’s for is their cold treats. Their frappes are really good, at least the one I had. Their coffee is bitter, and has to cool down for 10 minutes before I can drink it.

I drive past the Starbucks and walk past the McDonalds to get to my Tim Hortons. I don’t actually own it, but it’s MINE anyway.
