at first I thought the Sun-like ball in P1 had struck the guy in P2 in his pocket edition of Balzac.

At least this baseball has seams. I think it’s the first one this season. Most of them have looked like cue balls. And while I’m nitpicking, aren’t hanging curves usually about belt high? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one at shoulder level.

With sharp, contemporary story lines and new, graphically outstanding artwork, Gil Thorp takes readers into the halls of Milford High School, where the legendary Gil Thorp himself is an example of what high school coaches can be on their best days. The perfect bridge between the worlds of ever-expanding big-time sports and the slower-paced times of high school sports, Gil Thorp is the “Friday Night Lights” of the funny pages. Quote from SeattlePI (in color).

So where is Gil? He is not doing any coaching again. How could he have missed the yelling match.

Gil’s gonna have to scare em. call them all into the shower, throw bats at them then yell, “it’s a simple game. you hit the ball, you catch the ball, you throw the ball”.

P1- Where was the “Boink!” or Boot!"? P2- Jimmy looks like someone sucked the wind out of him. Oh, hi there Foley. P3- Since Great Scott hung one, shouldn’t it be a prolonged KER-R-R-RACK!!!?

So I guess that means it’s also time to break out the garters and start breathing through the eyelids.

Hasn’t Scott ever heard of “picking up your teammate” when he makes an error???
