Who is Adric?

@OteraThanks. I have never watched Dr. Who (I know, my non-geek side is showing), and the only thing I recognize from the show is the Tardis, his travelling machine. And that’s only because a replica sits on Craig Ferguson’s desk.

Actually (and this goes deep classic) I preferred Leela. Her solution to all problems was the same.

[geek] Actually, a Whovian would say “You can’t name all the Doctor’s companions”, not “Doctor Who’s companions”. Doctor Who is the name of the show, not the character’s name… [/geek]

I agree with rshive Leela was the best companion. Adric was a bit annoying and full of himself. Romana II wasn;t bad Romana I was annoying as well. Ace and Mel where horrible but then again the worked with the worst Doctors

I actually liked Adric — so it’s not really an insult to me. Leela was great though — so direct!

Adric was Dr. Who’s Wesley Crusher. :) Or I guess it should be the other way around.

Semantics…A geek’s fanatical holy grail… go figure…

It works fine if you assume that Jay is referring to the show and not the character; “You can’t name all of ‘Doctor Who’s’ companions,” in the same sense as “You can’t name all of ‘Star Trek’s’ dead security officers.”

Some of us CHEERED when Adric died!

if we were to discuss the prettiest of the companions I would say this latest one Clara has a very pretty face but Amy has the best legs. Sara Jane Smith was my first so i will always remember her fondly may she RIP. Leela had the most interesting personality. (the preceding are only opinions and not necessarily the reflection of actual facts or opinions other Whovians may share)

I liked Adric, and was sad when he died. I’ll admit, he was a bit whiney, but he was no Wesley Crusher.
