A new story. While we wil all miss the story of the Old Comics Retirement Home, it is now time to move on. But, if I may digress to some comments made about the Old Comics Retirement Home and the hope that some of us might have had that Walt would stay there, therebyavoiding death b ut still remaining somewhat believable, we have to realize that the Old Comics Retierment Home refers to comics that are no longer being published and is not a euphamism for death. That is why Walt’s late wife was not there. One of us mentioned recently that Jim was planning to end GA on the 100th aniversary, which would be either in 2018 or 2021. I hope we are all still around then. An appropriate ending would be for all the Wallets retiring to the Old Comics Retirement Home, where they would live happily ever after.
Well, hey, if you want to use my Gretchen story from 2007 (on the old TMS site) as a springboard, here’s how I see her today:Gretchen married Tom Mason (the guy she met on the plane home from her and Nubbin’s European trip) in 2009 or 2010. They live wherever I decided he lived (I forget) and they have a two-year-old kid.

You’re right Stevero. That would be a great ending. There would have to be a Gasoline Alley wing for all the important characters over the years.

I recall Skeezix having served on the Europian front. Great arcs then, too.
