I feel a little sorry for our grad students…once they start working, they get no strokes from A’s on weekly quizzes…in fact, they don’t hear a word about their performance until their yearly job performance, which is usually at C level so they “have somewhere to show improvement”…
My mother went on my first job interview with me 50 years ago, and I did alright. Still working, though not at the same company. Not even on the same continent.
