There was a experiment involving several paintings, Nighthawks being one of them. A key aspect removed from the painting. The result is that it changed the whole meaning. What comes to mind when you see the diner without the forlorn patrons?
âNighthawksâ has always been one of my favorite paintings. As a fan of the past, I always found Hopperâs paintings very evocative of that period (thoâ to him they were very contemporary images).
