Believe me, they are not usually “churchy” types, they are other lost souls that a churchy type has forced them into attending. being with someone that was raised with the same values as you(whether they took or not) will give a baseline to the relationship. When you marry outside your social circle, it can make life hard for both people and their respective in-laws. I am not saying that mixed or interfaith marriages do not work, I am saying that you stack the deck against it working and it will be harder.
I once spent a half hour filling out the eHarmony info page. Within ten seconds of hitting enter, I got a message saying they had no matches for me. I’m guessing that if I checked the box saying I made over $100,000 a year, they would have come up with a few women for me.
