Transcript:
Rat: Check it out, Pig. I'm doing origami. It's surprisingly easy to make stuff out of paper. Pig: Oh, yeah? Show me what you've learned to make so far. Rat: Crumpled ball.
The date on the comic itself is the date it is set to run. It is ALWAYS the current day that it’s run. Even when it was written 10 years ago. For examples, look at today’s Doonesbury. He’s currently on vacation. Or, if you don’t believe that one is a repeat and has been for this entire week, as I’m sure you won’t if you never read it, read Peanuts. Then explain to me how Schulz wrote it from the grave.
How come everytime there seems to be a “rerun” someone has to complain about it. Are you at work every single day to include Saturday and Sunday? Is the rest of your day ruined because of it? If you don’t like to re-read a comic then don’t… or you can get some talent and write your own comic with a new one 365 days a year. Get over it.
First time I did origami I ended up with a star. Course that was also the last time cause I got so frustrated with it that I gave it up after it took me like two days to get the stupid star.
RE “rerun”: The strip was drawn in 2012, but that doesn’t mean it was run then. Pastis has been know to run strips 2 or 3 years after drawing them. He probably finished the prison storyline yesterday, needed a couple more strips to fill the week, and found this one in his files.
