According to my “Internet” search, depending upon what site you look at, the Internet ‘started’ in the 1980’s (late 80’s), but didn’t become popular in terms of usage until the 1990s.
We had the first video disc player when it came out, the disc was the size of a LP album, LOL. We also had a super 8 camera and the roll up screen for home movies when I was a kid.
