    I guess they mean that Mrs. Olsen has run over her share of signs in her car. So she’s also an inattentive driver, it takes one to know one….

    It means that she has experience watching out for bad drivers who run into things, because the teachers’ lot is full of the effects of bad drivers.

    Mrs. Olsen is somewhat notorious for hitting signs in the parking lot because she wasn’t paying attention. My guess is she saw the driver with the cell phone and through her own experience realized that he was not aware enough of his surroundings to stop in time.
