I’m a retired Postal Worker. But what can I do to keep from going Postal? I’m too old and ugly to cruise for hot women.

Simplistic view of hot topic. No one wants refineries in their backyard in the U.S. refineries don’t make much profit anyway.

4 dollar a gallon gas is because you folks wanted “Hope and Change”. Now that we are going “Forward”, don’t look for it to go down, especially when Hillery gets in…..I advise ya’ll to “THINK” before you vote. “nobody” looked at barry’s background before the last (2) voting periods. It’s going to be higher, when Mrs. Clinton is our new fearless leader.

What a bunch of BS! The largest part of the profit is to government in taxes. The profit margin in oil is lower than most other industries.

Higher MPG cars are one solution. The other is to go back to living in the same community in which we work and go to school. Use bicycles, mass transit, and feet more, cars less.

What taxes, you ask? -State and federal fuel taxes, for starters.

On average, states levy a fuel tax of about $0.50 on every gallon of gasoline. The federal government collects about $25 billion in gas taxes, every year. (It’s all in Wikipedia.)

Anyone interested can do their own research regarding other forms of taxation (personal income tax, corporate income tax, local sales taxes, capital gains taxes, etc.).

If it is Obama’s fault that the price of gas went up in the states, why did it go up in Canada? We have a conservative government here.
