I used to put pans of boiling water in the freezer and switch them out every 20 minutes or so, usually only took a little over an hour to complete the job…….that being said, I would say that Earl needs to get his wallet and the keys for a trip to Lowes, Home Depot, or Sears. lol I love my No defrost fridge but I have 2 freezers and BOTH of them need to be defrosted, sigh, a chore.
Ah, the good ol’ days… Quickest way I ever did it was to pull the plug, put a steam iron set to ‘medium’ in the freezer, go get a beer 2 miles away, come back and reverse order things (and maybe mop up overflow from the pan that was always jammed with ‘something’) ew..
Which was a result of the thought; "There’s three ways of doing things; 1/ The right way 2/ The wrong way 3/ The Army way.
I am disappointed! This is U.S. of A. Independence Day, July 4th. Surly Earle and Opal celebrate Independence Day…or have they become corrupted by the politically correct crowd, too?

Before I got a self-defrosting fridge I used to love seeing the ice come off in one big slab (I used to put puts of boiling water in the freezer).

It isn’t that hard a job to do

And if you set a fan in front of the open freezer door, it speeds things up a bit.

I used to just turn it off…overnight stuff melted and you wipe it down with baking soda infused hot water.

Opal must have been swept off her feet. (Slipped on some ice)

Who even does that anymore? Come on, Earl. Buy her a proper refrigerator that defrosts itself.

Get a new, Earl, or you’ve inherited a new job!
