Oh, this’ll be an interesting story line. Do I suspect Tía Carmen gets the $30 in the end?

So they each get $15 and have to earn the other $15 (plus tax) themselves. Sounds fair. (Gracie will not always get the private and government grants she applies for, so now is the time to practice her skills in promotion, persuasion, and grant writing. And where can Baldo find sneakers for $30?!?! I have seen minimum price starting at $80 plus.) DANG, am I out of touch with shopping.

You can find sneakers for $30 (plus tax) at Payless Shoes if you aren’t concerned with impressing anyone.

Doesn’t Baldo have a job? Make him use his own money.

I think Gracie will win if their household is anything like mine – education trumps fashion. Unless Baldo actually needs shoes.

On July 4th last, at:http://www.gocomics.com/baldo/2013/07/04it seems that Papi is a retired sailor, and may still be in the Naval Reserves. He probably waited to have children until he got out, which may help explain why he’s old enough to be a widower with young kids.

That’s what one’s allowance is for, items one wants. Children should get an allowance and have to live within for nonessential. Emjayee – I just bought new sneakers for $15. Not fancy, but those are just a waste of money . These cover my feet and do the job very comfortably.
